Amsterdam

Previously I posted photos from our first stop on the Europe tour we took a couple years ago and now I'm sharing the second stop, Amsterdam. We had a blast in Amsterdam - it's a city that is just dripping in the cool-factor and the Mr. is part Dutch so I felt like we (sort of) fit in! The museums in Amsterdam were my favorite out of the whole trip. Both the Van Gogh and Rijks museums were designed in such a well thought-out way. Each showed the progress of the art based on key influences or social settings year after year. It was an interesting way to learn how the artist progressed and grew based on what was going on around them. While there, we made sure to check off the typical touristy sights but we also took lots of time to relax in nearby parks and eat all the stroopwafels we could find.
